About the event
When the epidemic situation occurs, street vendors and roadside eateries are the hardest hit because of the distance, besides the increasingly narrow livelihood space. Meanwhile, street vendors are mostly immigrants, contributing to more than 13% of Ho Chi Minh City's gross domestic product (GDP).
Is this paradox preventing the goal of sustainable development in general? Do the diners really understand the life and stories of the people behind the restaurants they love? What can we individually do to create practical solutions to help the street vendors in particular and immigrants in general?
We are not just young people, we are young people who are responsible and interested in positive social impacts. So what can we do?
The answer will be in the Talkshow: "Street Food, Sit Down and Tell" organized by Dear Our Community, in collaboration with RICE Content, Media, Oxfam, Social Life Research Institute and Saigon Ùm.
