Role: Communications Officer
Reports to: Corporate Partnerships and Fundraising Senior Specialist
Location: Hybrid, with occasional travel to Quang Nam and Dong Thap
POSITION SUMMARY
The Communications Officer will be responsible for developing and executing communication strategies that enhance Teach For Viet Nam’s visibility, engagement, and brand positioning. This role involves content creation, media relations, digital marketing, and stakeholder communications to drive awareness and support for TFV’s mission. The ideal candidate is a creative storyteller, an excellent communicator, and a strategic thinker passionate about education and social impact.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Content Creation & Storytelling: Develop compelling articles, newsletters, press releases, and social media updates to highlight TFV’s impact. Capture and share stories from fellows, students, and communities while ensuring brand consistency.
• Digital & Social Media Management: Manage TFV’s social media presence, execute content calendars and campaigns, monitor analytics, and optimize engagement strategies.
• Media & Public Relations: Build relationships with Influencers, media, develop press materials, coordinate outreach, and track media coverage.
• Internal & External Communications: Prepare reports, proposals, and presentations for stakeholders. Draft and edit speeches, talking points, and ensure internal communication alignment.
• Fundraising & Campaign Support: Develop communication materials for fundraising and donor engagement. Support impact reporting and collaborate with the development team to align messaging.
• Visual Content & Design: Capture and edit images/videos for communication materials, events, and social media. Design visuals for print and online fundraising, including banners, brochures, standees, and branded merchandise.
• Collaboration & Event Support: Work with the program team to gather multimedia content. Coordinate with event and design agencies when required.
• Other tasks as required by the Direct Manager.
Qualifications & Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related fields.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in communications, media, marketing, or a related field.
• Strong writing, editing, and storytelling skills in both Vietnamese and English.
• Experience managing social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns.
• Familiarity with media relations, press outreach, and public relations strategies.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Passion for education, social impact, and nonprofit work.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in nonprofit or education sector communications.
• Knowledge of graphic design, video editing, or multimedia content creation.
• Proficiency in tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or social media management platforms.
