POSITION DESCRIPTION |
Dear Our Community seeking a high caliber candidate for the position of Graphic Designer
The person’s primary responsibility is to ensure DOC’s sustainability and development by creating impact-driven creative design and branding strategy in accordance with the organization’s strategy and objectives.
RESPONSIBILITIES |
Brand Storytelling and Design
Visual Storytelling: Develop compelling visual narratives that communicate the brand's story and values.
Design Execution: Create a wide range of design assets, including:
Marketing materials (merchandises, brochures, flyers, posters..)
Digital assets (websites, social media graphics, email templates….)
Print materials (business cards, letterheads, packaging….)
Experiential design (event graphics, installations…)
Design Systems: Create and maintain design systems to ensure consistency and efficiency in design production.
Community Engagement and Human-Centered Design
Community Building: Design experiences and initiatives that foster community engagement and loyalty.
User Research: Conduct user research to understand user needs and preferences.
Human-Centered Design: Apply human-centered design principles to create empathetic and user-centric designs.
Brand Architecture and Strategy (Potential)
Brand Identity Development: Create and maintain a strong, consistent brand identity, including logo design, color palettes, typography, and imagery.
Brand Guidelines: Develop and enforce brand guidelines to ensure consistent brand application across all touchpoints.
Brand Positioning: Define and communicate the brand's unique value proposition and target audience.
Brand Evolution: Continuously evaluate and evolve the brand to stay relevant and competitive.
Team Leadership and Project Management (Potential)
Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior designers, providing feedback and support.
Project Management: Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
Client Communication: Effectively communicate with clients to understand their needs and present design solutions.
Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, operation, and product development.
Continuous Learning
Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest design trends and technologies.
Professional Development: Attend industry conferences, workshops, and webinars.
Experimentation: Encourage innovation and experimentation in design.
PERSON SPECIFICATIONS |
DOC's Senior Graphic Designer is a multi-functional role that would suit someone who is detail-oriented, sharpen mindset, creative, confident and outgoing, but also well organized and systematic.
You must be committed to and passionate about DOC’s vision, mission, and the work that we do, have interests in social impact, sustainability and youth engagement, and be comfortable presenting and representing the organization in your daily work. You will be a self-starter and innovator, unafraid to research and develop your methods and ideas. Absolute integrity is essential as is the ability to maintain accurate records and produce effective reports on progress.
With a good eye for details, you will assure the quality of your Branding and Creative Design plan and execution, optimizing all channels, including digital and social media, to best effect.
Experience in the social impact sector is preferred but not essential.
REQUIREMENTS |
Education: University Degree in Media and Communication, Multimedia, Art Creativity or related field;
Experience and Skills:
A minimum of 3-4 years' work experience in related fields
Passion for branding design general, communication and creative, ability to QC and execute creative works
Ability to analyze ideas, problems and think critically plus solutions
Good communication skills, ability to exploit stories and interview
Skills for working and managing work with partner businesses and organizations
Able to read and understand English
Professional working style, honest, agile, able to withstand pressure
Good teamwork skills
Eager to learn, have a progressive spirit, and contribute to building the organization.
Having knowledge of Sustainable Development and Social Impact is an advantage
Knowledge of brands and businesses is an advantage
Understanding of impact communications is a plus
Experience working for an agency/marketing agency/NPO/NGO is an advantage
