Core Responsibilities

  • Driving and reporting our factory’s sustainability portfolio for CO2, energy, waste and water

  • Responsible for driving, developing, and implementing the zero-impact portfolio.

  • Main focus on achieving and maintaining zero waste to landfill, and improve waste portfolio of new LEGO Manufacturing Vietnam factory.

  • Collaboration with global and local partners to support implementation of more sustainable operations processes and technologies.

  • Conducting local stakeholder management to ensure commitment and co-ownership of the change agenda.

  • Support and enable local sustainability programs together with key collaborators to ensure cadence in implementation.

  • Support local specialists and project managers in developing and deploying projects, and securing monthly reporting.

  • Support digital implementation for automated and intelligent data collection.

Sustainable Operations is the global department within LEGO Group that lead the change journey towards zero impact in our factories. We lead, design and implement sustainable solutions primarily within energy/CO2, water, and waste - in a circular mindset, which means eliminating negative impact on our local and global environment. Moreover, we are responsible for managing the tracking of realized reductions towards zero-impact, and the programme office for sustainability in Engineering & Workplace. We identify and implement reduction projects in close collaboration with the production sites and other partners.


Do you have what it takes?

  • Environmental, Construction or Engineering degree preferably related to sustainability in production.

  • Proven experience with sustainability projects in an industrial context.

  • In-depth understanding of manufacturing sustainability, experience with projects related to science-based Targets and/or circular economy and understanding of emergent sustainability technologies for manufacturing.

  • Strong communication skills, ability to develop professional communication material for senior leadership.

  • References showing achieved results in an equivalent position.

  • Preferably experience from management consultancy within sustainability

  • Good contact with people and ease of speech when dealing with partners, good customer service.

  • Knowledge of LEED and sustainability in manufacturing.

  • Experience from energy saving projects, carbon reduction / solar panel projects, water treatment projects and waste reduction projects.

  • Proficient in both Vietnamese and English
